Darkened Chairs

Without stripping and sanding off the old finish these chairs were darkened considerably, and most importantly, evenly, without “corner build -up”, by brushing and cross brushing  glazes and clear coats , followed by  ultra high grit sanding (without “burning- through” the edges) and finished off  with 0000 steel wool . The result: a silky smooth, highly durable and waterproof ,dark  hand rubbed surface, lightly distressed,  that looked as though it had been that way for a 150 years.
